I am very pleased to introduce talented writer, friend and honing device for all things pretty, Gemma, for a guest post this week. I StumbledUpon this beautiful image and immediately thought of a wedding bouquet. Imagine crafting your flowers from the eternal words of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ or ‘Wuthering Heights’, placing the world’s greatest love stories at the centre of your day, just as you begi[...]

Today's Friday Find can be a little prickly (give me a break, it's the end of the week), but makes the most stunning and unusual bouquet. I would never have thought to bring cactus into a wedding arrangement, but it's absolutely gorgeous. I stumbled on this first photo on online noticeboard Pinterest - a website that has shortened my productivity rate significantly.   Trawl[...]

I'm in love with this palette, it's just soft, gorgeous and lovely. Big blown rose and peony blooms go perfectly in these subtle colours, as well as soft floaty fabrics. With a bit of blue for the boys... (Spot Tia Mowry's wedding photo above, I do miss Tia and Tamara!) Post your inspiration and colour suggestions in the comments or tell us on Twitter, to see them on here!

This Wedding Wednesday I thought I'd share with you the inspiration for my own wedding save the dates - photobooth fun! I've always loved photo booths and the idea of sticking tonnes and tonnes of them to your fridge. So when I saw this photobooth invitation online, I had to have it. It's so relaxed and happy, and there is no embossed, swirly font (which is still lovely for some). I love t[...]

I just got back from a lovely little break in Middle of Nowhere, France, with my husband and family. It was really lovely, and an absolute photography haven. It got me thinking about simplicity and nature, and bringing that into your wedding theme. Weddings with outdoor venues making the use of the landscape as decor, without having to add any particular colour schemes to make it come alive. I [...]

Olive green is one of my absolute favourites - I wish I had been bold enough to have it at my wedding! It's a gorgeous Autumn colour and goes perfectly with flecks of gold and orange hues. The olive suits a satiny look best, so something to think about for bridesmaids dresses and venue decorations. Gold embellishments on invitations and table wear hit a striking note, with a touch of cream and c[...]

It's nothing new that the Duchess of Cambridge is somewhat of a trendsetter - thousands still bursting into salons across the country asking for 'The Kate', and Whistles dresses still flying off the shelves. And since the infamous royal wedding (and 'that' Grace Kelly inspired dress) just a few months ago, a slew of  celebrity brides have followed in her vintage styled footsteps. 2011 has seen [...]

Inspired by the beautiful weather we've been having in the UK this summer, this colour combination sees a bold splash of bright yellow and slate grey on a soft palette of blues. An amazing palette for spring and summer weddings that want to be a little bit different! Holly xo

So, I finally got around to seeing Bridesmaids recently, and yes, this movie has already been out for three weeks, so most of you will have seen it already. For those of you who haven't, trust me, its brilliant enough for it to stay in the charts for another three. See it now! It's the weekend! I was hugely looking forward to seeing this movie, as I'm a big fan of both actress Kristen Wiig [...]
