I am in love with this. Though I wouldn't want to catch one of these bouquets for fear of injury. If you happen to have a lot of costume jewellery and precious things lying around or as family heirlooms, they make an amazing statement as a bouquet. These are fairly easy to make yourself, as I understand. I'm desperate to find the right bits and pieces to make one for myself, but from what [...]
Recently, I watched the movie I Love You, Man for the bazillionth time (which still causes me wine-out-of-your-nose giggle fits) I realised how much I love the colour scheme in the final wedding scene at the end. It's gorgeous, and I'm jealous of anyone who has this colour scheme. As it's so obviously a spring/summer palette, I'm not sure how well it would work in autumn/winter (not leas[...]
Mauve, lilac, amethyst, purple. Whichever way you describe it, this palette has got to be one of my favourites. I even like saying the word 'mauve'. It feels passionate and regal, soft and bold all at the same time. And I loved it enough to have it at my own wedding. I've softened it here with some pale pinks, and neutrals, and a splash of green since the purple palettes look brilliant with a[...]
Don't you hate it when you're trying to have a lovely, quaint engagement picnic, and out of nowhere comes an attack from the disrespectful undead? Creative couple Ben and Juliana, from Los Angeles, had a lot of fun with the horror genre with their recent engagement shoot - follow the story below! Kudos to Ben for breaking out the cheese knife to save his woman! [...]
So after a bit of a whirlwind few days in rural Uganda, it was a pleasant break to stop off on the way back to the airport at a town called Jinja - which is only where the flippin' source of the Nile is, how exciting is that! It was incredible to look at, we took a boat ride to the springs, and dipped our feet in the longest river in the world. Then out of nowhere, we noticed a parade of wed[...]
Hello again! I'm back, and officially exhausted. On Sunday night, I flew back from a visit to a Tearfund project in rural Uganda. Straight back into work on Monday editing the films I was making out there. As I said before I left, I had never been anywhere like this before. Somewhere so contrasted to where I have been brought up and lived my whole life. I have worked with Tearfund for years,[...]
I know the Royal Wedding has been and gone already but I've only just seen this. I find it amazing, not simply from a comical point of view but also the level of detail! The faceless bride does slightly freak me out though.
I love this photo, its so colourful and bright, the white dress stands out even more. Courtesy of Steller Photography.
Today's photo of the day comes from lightedpixels photography. Have a look at their blog, some fantastic images to be found!
The wedding cake is one of the most debated items for any bride and in recent years we have seen traditional designs put aside for new, fun and often quirky designs which hugely reflect the couple in question. I got in touch with a friend of mine Jess Mistry, founder of Little Iced Gems, a new cupcake company based in Newbury. We had a chat about her cupcakes, her inspiration and her top tips for [...]
